Being born in California comes with huge responsibilities, and one of those is to be an original. Originality is the perfect way to describe WGMG’s flagship artist Willie Gee. Being born to Mexican parents, “the music was already bumpin’ before I was born,” says the artist. His music is a derivative from the rich musical background his father allowed him to have by having him work at the family owned record shop. “I just wanted to make people dance, I love watching people have a drink and a good time,” says the musician. Having rapping and singing abilities allows this artist to come up with a unique mesh that automatically makes your head bounce to his music. The infectious flows combined with his melodic singing automatically make your mind think ‘who or what is this?’ Originality and uniqueness is what pours out of the speakers when you start to dance to his compositions. Willie Gee is no stranger to the music scene. Having two previous releases, 2006’s ‘Deal with it’ and 2010’s ‘The Demo Tape’, WG is ready to infect any eardrum he can with his exciting sound. His new release for 2014 titled ‘BeachNjagerMuzik’ is unlike anything you have ever heard. “I was heavily influenced by all the house music I heard in San Diego and Las Vegas when coming up with the concept of this album,” admits Mr. Gee. “Expect some club records you’ll be dancing to in your bed after the club.” He dislikes being compared to any artist but says that if he absolutely had to he would describe his music as a mix between “Pitbull, John Mayer and some Latin cumbias,” a mix that to this day no one has heard of. The album will be a sure hit with audiences as it will automatically make anyone who listens dance to the tunes. The musician is no stranger to the crowds either. Having opened for artists such as The Jacka from the Mob Figaz, Mistah Fab, Akwid, Mann, Debbie Deb, Amanda Perez, J Stalin, Jon B and many more, he is ready to once again have the clubs jumping to his music. “I promise nothing but the craziest experience you ever had at a live show,” says Mr. Gee on whenever you get the chance to attend one of his performances. His live shows happen to be his best trait as an artist he claims. “I do music because I love it, not because I want to be famous or sell records and get rich.
