FivE is an unconventional quartet that is breaking new ground in chamber music. Comprised of four eclectic euphonium players, the group strives to connect with music lovers across the globe. FivE has pioneered a distinct experience for audiences with their self-composed music, wacky skits, clever productions, and inimitable musicianship. Blending rock, jazz, contemporary, and classical styles, the quartet defies categorization by expressing their unique musical voice. FivE’s brief, but rich, history includes performances in over a dozen states, commissions and premieres of new works for euphonium quartet, success at international chamber music competitions, and keynote appearances at the the International Tuba Euphonium Conference, TMEA conference, and five ITEA regional conferences. Dedicated to music education, FivE regularly gives masterclasses, clinics, and camp performances for young audiences across the United States. Their first album, FivEPlay, is the culmination of three years of planning, rehearsals, recordings, and collaborations. It features music from their popular shows “NEON” and “#hashtags” as well as new arrangements made exclusively for the album. FivE is a performing ensemble with Buffet Crampon and plays exclusively on Besson instruments.
